SDCC Memorial Day Scholastic tournament was a completely FREE event. 90 kids showed and played in 3 sections.
SDCC March Scholastic went very smooth with 124 scholastic players in 5 sections (Elite, Open, U800, U500 and U300) see standings/tiebreaks.
March Scholastic Club meetup was led by volunteers: David Saponara, Jonathan Frye, Irina Nizmutdinova, Jayce Walzer, and Kathryn Mokhov. Blog entry will be coming soon.

30-40 kids came to play and learn at January Scholastic Club Meetup. The meeting was around 2 hours with many games and some instruction. Video

AMERICAN OPEN SCHOLASTIC
5 team trophies for SDCC kids: 2nd place in K3 Open, 2nd place in K6 Open Varsity, 3rd place in K5 U800, 3rd place in K5 Open and 3rd place in K6 U900.
Our 5th large event: November Scholastic. 112 kids played in 4 sections. (USCF report, Standings)
Team Alas de Fuego from Tijuana, Mexico came for a team match. It was great to meet a new team and we hope to see them again.
September Scholastic club meeting took place with more than 60 participants. Huge thanks to all our volunteers for chess instruction.
SDCC scholastic team had our very first official team match with Temecula Chess Club. Match was played in 3 quads. 12 from each side.
Scholastic prorgram was officialy re-opened with December Scholastic tournament (63 participants).
