  • SCHOLASTIC TEAM
    San Diego Chess Club Scholastic Team is a new initiative to compete with other clubs in the area. The team's roster is formed a month before a scheduled team match. Team tryouts are usually free tournaments announced throughout the year.

Our Facebook group is a good way to connect with us and other chess families. Scholastic mailing List - to receive updates/reminders on upcoming events. For any questions, please contact us.

  • SCHOLASTIC CLUB MEETINGS
    Occasionally we host free educational events where scholastic players can come to play and learn from our volunteers.

    At this moment, San Diego Chess Club is not offering any classes or camps at the facility.

30-40 kids came to play and learn at January Scholastic Club Meetup. The meeting was around 2 hours with many games and some instruction. Video

AMERICAN OPEN SCHOLASTIC
5 team trophies for SDCC kids: 2nd place in K3 Open, 2nd place in K6 Open Varsity, 3rd place in K5 U800, 3rd place in K5 Open and 3rd place in K6 U900.

Sept 11, 2022

September Scholastic club meeting took place with more than 60 participants. Huge thanks to all our volunteers for chess instruction.

Our third large tournament was in Aprl scholastic with 85 participants.


April 16, 2022

SDCC scholastic team had our very first official team match with Temecula Chess Club. Match was played in 3 quads. 12 from each side.
